Shopify Introduces Granular Staff Permissions for Products

Shopify has introduced 10 new granular staff permissions for product management. Previously, a single permission controlled staff access, allowing them to view, create, edit, and delete product data. The new permissions include View products, View cost, Create and edit products, Edit cost, Edit price, Manage inventory, Delete products and collections, View catalogs, Create and edit catalogs, and Delete catalogs. These permissions allow for more precise control over staff access and responsibilities, enhancing data security. Existing staff with the old Products permission will automatically receive all new permissions by default but can be adjusted as needed.
