Shopify Flow Adds 'Wait' Step To Automate Workflow Delays

Shopify Flow, available exclusively to Shopify Plus customers, now includes a 'Wait' step in workflows. This new feature allows workflows to pause for a specified duration, ranging from 1 second to 7 days, with future plans to extend this limit. Use cases for the Wait step include notifying staff if an order isn't fulfilled in 7 days, adding tags to medium-risk orders after 6 hours, delaying workflows to prevent race conditions, waiting for UTM parameters, and automatically hiding products after 7 days.
