Shopify Updates Shipping Notification Methods

Shopify is updating shipping notification methods: starting July 6, notifications will be sent via the contact method used during checkout, either SMS or Email, but not both. Customers who use email at checkout won't receive SMS notifications, while those using only a phone number will still receive SMS updates. This change will be rolling out to all stores and will automatically be applied to the “Customer Contact Method” settings in Shopify Admin. Merchants interested in continuing SMS notifications can explore SMS app partners in the Shopify App Store.
