Shopify Updates Customer Privacy App to Meet CCPA Standards

The Customer Privacy app has been updated for California-based stores and those meeting certain criteria, like having a gross annual revenue of $25 million in online sales or dealing with the personal information of 50,000 or more California residents. This update ensures compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), allowing California buyers to opt out of data sales. Existing users of the app need to update by November 1, 2021, to stay compliant.
