In version 9.8 of Shopify POS, return rules support has been introduced. These structured policies can be utilized for both in-store and self-serve online returns, ensuring consistency and accuracy in return processes while reducing staff workload and building customer trust. Configured in the Shopify Admin, return rules determine a product's return eligibility, providing staff with contextual information when items can't be returned. Applicable return rules include Return Window and Final Sale. Managers with the necessary permissions can override policies to complete returns or exchanges when needed.
