Shopify now enables Plus merchants to streamline the process of granting POS access to staff by provisioning it directly from the Plus admin, bypassing account activation delays. Previously, POS access had to be manually granted in the 'Access and permissions' section of user management. With this update, Plus merchants can incorporate POS access into Plus roles. New or updated users will receive an email linking to their 'Users and Permissions' page to reveal their PIN. Users can reveal their PIN in Shopify Admin under Settings > Users and Permissions. If POS access is managed through a Plus role, the checkbox for POS access will be disabled in Shopify Admin. By default, the POS role is assigned, but this can be changed at the store level.
