Shopify Now Lets You Adjust Fulfillment by Line Item

You can now change the location or hold specific line items within an order, giving you more flexibility during the fulfillment process. Previously, changes could only be made for all items in an order. This update enables you to fulfill partial orders, hold items for restocking, or assign specific items to different locations.
