Shopify now enables the capture of important customer details and staff attribution during POS checkout. Details such as first name, last name, email, and phone number can be made 'recommended' or 'required'. If marked as 'required', staff must input these details to complete the sale. Staff attribution can be automatic or manual and is mandatory once enabled. These settings can be configured in the Shopify admin.
