Shopify Duties and Import Taxes now supports preferential trade agreements in its duties calculations. The feature uses information such as shipping origin, destination, products' country of origin, and harmonized system codes to apply reduced duty rates at checkout. This update means, for example, products that qualify under the USMCA can benefit from reduced import fees for shipments within North America.
