Customer Email Now Required for Ship to Customer Orders in Shopify POS

Shopify’s ‘Ship to Customer Orders’ in POS now mandates the collection of the customer’s email address when submitting orders. If a required field like the email address is missing, staff will be prompted to input all necessary information before finalizing the order. This ensures that the customer’s email can be used for important order updates, enhancing the customer experience. Note that this is not an opt-in for marketing purposes.
